Financing Solutions

Financing Solutions has an end-to-end responsibility to deliver on credit-related products, and is responsible for the entire credit process from origination to aftercare, including structuring, negotiating and executing of the credit structures and loans. We serve clients within a very broad range of sectors, but generally companies with a turnover of more than EUR 100m per year. The teams within Financing Solutions structure and arrange a wide array of Bilateral, and Syndicated facilities such as Overdraft facilities, Revolving Credit facilities and Term Loans, but also more structured facilities depending on the specific needs of our clients. Through this, Financing Solutions plays a crucial role in the financing needs of its clients, enabling them to operate their business. At ABN AMRO Financing Solutions, you will be an integral part of the team from day one and work along with more senior colleagues and take an active part in the deal-making process.

Teams within the Lending sectors (Digital & Consumer, Agri & Food, Healthcare & Services, Mobility & Manufacturing, New Energies, and Shipping) and Structured and Syndicate Lending teams (Financial Institutions & Sovereign & Public Sector Entities, and Syndicated Loan Origination).

Learning curve

Depending on the team, you will have a steep learning curve in financial analysis, deal origination and structuring, but also in communication skills and other soft skills. Typically your responsibility accelerates throughout the internship and at the end of the internship the goal is that you can work side-to-side with trainees and juniors in the teams. Day-to-day tasks of an intern include but are not limited to attending client meetings, writing credit proposal and reviews, preparing and attending Capital Allocation Committees and helping out with negotiations and execution of loan documentation.

Available rotations

Tailored made programme with rotations of approximately 4 months, including the opportunity to rotate outside of the Financing Solutions organisation, do a project rotation, and go abroad.

Learning curve

• 2-year Nyenrode programme with both soft and hard skill trainings.
• Additional Financing Solutions specific trainings, such as courses by Hans Haanappel.
• You also have to opportunity to follow specific courses, such as Dutch language courses, and have a personal training budget.

Start date

The traineeship start twice a year, in both March and September.

Are you?

• A recent graduate with at an University BSc (for the internship position) or a Master (for our traineeship) and affinity with Finance.
• A finance, law or economics master is however not a prerequisite and we welcome candidates with different backgrounds.
• Someone with clear Dutch link.
