You help ABN AMRO to respectfully turn data into value. More excitingly, you help to realise ABN AMRO in its ambition to become a Personal Bank in a Digital Age. You ensure that the entire bank follows the correct route towards a fully data driven organisation. From shaping new concepts to designing and guiding data management initiatives. You are able to quickly submerge yourself in a brand-new initiative, shape it  and ensure it is properly anchored for successful execution.

Your job

As AI Governance Expert, you drive the overall design and position of governance related to AI topics end-to-end. You define the overall framework of how to turn data into value, while ensuring compliance with (external) rules and regulations. You have a great passion to look ahead and to zoom out, ensuring that your topics are well embedded in the overall governance design. Together with your Governance & Control colleagues, you become the bank’s SPOC for governance related challenges in your area.

Your results contribute to:

1. The maintenance of the overall governance framework for the different AI topics, ensuring alignment with other governance topics (such as Data Quality, Data Distribution and Roles & Responsibilities)
2. The AI Act implementation programme and the AI Governance design
3. The establishment of the end-state design through policy, guidelines, and procedures - formalising the goals for ABN AMRO for AI governance
4. You contribute to the Enterprise Control Framework for Data & AI, ensuring transparency on the status of the adherence to the AI Governance

Furthermore, you are an active contributor to the overall team responsibilities:

• Designing and driving the implementation of processes to formalise Data Management artefacts such as standards and guidelines;
• Providing expert guidance and support in adopting Data Management artefacts;
• Controlling adherence to the Data Management artefacts;
• Running the corporate governance Data Committee;
• Driving awareness of Data Governance.

This role requires switching context quickly, being action oriented while having strong conceptual capabilities with an understanding of Data Governance and - Management, risk management and foremost you are able to inspire stakeholders to take action.

Working environment

You operate in the following organisation:

• You are part of the Central Data Office – Governance & Control team and you report to the Head of Governance & Control
• You interact with other departments in the Central Data Office and with the 2nd line
• You interact with senior stakeholders in the Data Domain Organisations

The team you become part of is in constant collaboration with all business units, international branches and subsidiaries of the bank. We all work together at the frontier of the largest data revolution in the banking industry and with the core value-assets of the organization. 

Your profile

• Bachelor or Master’s degree required, preferably in Artificial Intelligence, Information Sciences, Business Information Management, Business Administration, Data Management, Legal, Compliance or a related field (like Risk Management)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders across departments and disciplines
• Good conceptual skills; you get energy from zooming out and zooming into a topic
• Experience in AI Governance, Data Governance, Data Management (you are familiar with AI Act, DAMA DMBOK, Data Mesh, BCBS239, etc.)
