The ESG and Sustainable Investing team within Wealth Management integrates sustainability into ABN AMRO’s investment products. We collaborate with stakeholders across the bank to align these products with ABN AMRO’s sustainability strategy and internal ESG rules and guidelines. As an intern, you will contribute by conducting research, performing analysis, and creating visually clear presentations that advance sustainable initiatives. 

Your job

As an intern in the ESG and sustainable investing team, you will work on three key projects: 

1. Transition investing: 

 Conduct competitor analysis and market research to explore opportunities for a transition investing product. Use your findings to contribute to the design of a potential product concept. 

2. Climate ambitions: 

 Support ABN AMRO’s climate goals for Wealth Management by performing peer comparisons. Analyse metrics, Net-Zero methodologies, and implementation practices to identify areas for improvement. 

3. Impact investing: 

 Evaluate ABN AMRO’s current impact investing products. Research how these investments contribute to societal and environmental progress, and provide actionable recommendations. 

Throughout your internship, you will work closely with team members and stakeholders, leveraging cutting-edge tools and gaining valuable insights into sustainable investing.

Your working environment

You will be part of a dedicated team of five professionals in the ESG and sustainable investing department. The team collaborates closely with the Investment Centre and Group Sustainability to stay ahead of market trends. We work in a hybrid environment that combines flexible remote work with in-person collaboration. Transparency, open communication, and a shared commitment to sustainability define our culture. 

Your profile

You are: 

- Enthusiastic about sustainable investing and finance. 

- Analytical, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. 

- Confident in asking critical questions and challenging conventional ideas. 

- Familiar with public and private markets. Experience with investing is a plus. 

- A strong communicator and demonstrated experience as a self-starter.
