Your job

The Senior Python Engineer is a hands-on technical contributor with a strong focus on serverless and container-based architectures on AWS. You work closely with fellow engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scalable, well-architected solutions.

Working environment

Our engineering teams collaborate closely to explore ideas, set technical direction, and build and maintain a suite of reliable, high-performing systems. You will work in an Agile, product-driven environment where engineers take end-to-end ownership, from design through to production operations. 

Your profile

You are an experienced Python engineer with a strong cloud background and genuine care for craft. You take ownership of your work, engage thoughtfully in technical discussions, and bring both depth and rigour to everything you build. Key areas of expertise include:

1. Software engineering

  • 6+ years of hands-on Python development experience
  • Srong command of software engineering fundamentals and clean code practices
  • Meticulous attention to detail in code, reviews, and production operations

2. Cloud and infrastructure

  • Proven experience building on AWS with serverless and/or container-based architectures
  • Solid hands-on experience with AWS CDK and/or CloudFormation

3. Data and integration

  • Experience with SQL and relational or NoSQL database technologies
  • Exposure to event-driven or streaming platforms (e.g. Kafka) is advantageous

4. Collaboration and delivery

  • Strong communicator in English, both written and verbal
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional, team-based Agile environments
  • Ability to take ownership, work independently, and deliver results
  • Previous informal or formal tech lead experience is a nice to have
