Your job

  • In this senior expert role, in collaboration with your team members and other departments, you will be responsible for closely monitoring of new regulations and guidelines related to a broad range regulatory reporting obligations, assessing their impact, and establishing reporting requirements.
  • As an expert, you are responsible for interpreting regulatory frameworks and translating them into ABN AMRO standards, policies, internal presentations, memos, and more.
  • As a senior team member, you are expected to oversee developments across regulatory and resolution reporting frameworks, provide guidance to junior team members, and advise senior management on related developments.
  • You will work with a wide range of stakeholders, offering you the opportunity to build a network within the organization. Keeping stakeholders informed about new regulations is a key part of the role, and effectively communicating complex regulatory requirements is crucial.
  • As a senior expert, you will handle many ad hoc requests on a wide range of regulatory reporting issues, new products, and special transactions, contributing to a dynamic environment where each day brings new challenges.

Working environment

Join our Policies & Internal Control department within Financial Accounting at ABN AMRO Group level, consisting of three expert teams. We are specialized in Regulatory Policies, IFRS Policies, and Internal Control. As part of the Regulatory Policies team, you will collaborate with dedicated specialists in regulatory reporting policy.

Our department serves as ABN AMRO's Center of Expertise for identifying, interpreting, and assessing the impact of new regulations related to financial, regulatory, and sustainable finance reporting. We translate these regulations into reporting requirements, define reporting data attributes, and develop reporting policies and standards. Experts in this role lead the definition of reporting data attributes, communicate them across the organization, and advise on effective regulation implementation.

As a senior team member, you'll work alongside highly knowledgeable and experienced professionals in a diverse, international team with an open and collaborative culture.

Your profile

  • You have a minimum of 5 years (scale 11) or 10-12 years of experience (maximum scale 13) in working with EU statistical, prudential, and resolution reporting obligations for banks.
  • You have obtained a relevant Bachelor's or University Degree, preferably related to Economics, Finance, Accounting or Auditing.
  • You have an interest in regulatory and external reporting for banks.
  • You have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English.
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are a keen learner.
  • You are an enthusiastic team player and work well in a network environment.
  • You can form an opinion on complex matters and transfer this knowledge to a wide audience of stakeholders effectively.
  • Pré: experience with statistical (e.g. AnaCredit, SHS), prudential (e.g. FINREP, COREP) and resolution (e.g. DGS, MREL, Resolution Planning) reporting obligations and the related regulatory frameworks (e.g. CRD, CRR, BRRD, SRMR). Basic knowledge of accounting standards (e.g. IFRS).

We are offering

We offer a challenging role where you can gain expertise in regulatory reporting and collaborate with professionals. You will work with various bank departments to help implement new (strategic) regulatory reporting obligations. We value personal development and welcome ambition, offering large amount of training opportunities and flexible work arrangements. Furthermore, we offer:
