Your job
As a Senior Auditor you will be part of ABN AMRO’s global audit department Group Audit. Our team consists of approximately 140 audit professionals that execute complex audits in a fast paced and changing organisation. Your observations will lead to a balanced opinion and impactful key messages to senior management. Your views are appreciated and help the bank to move forward.
While each team within Group Audit has a specific focus area, we work in multi-disciplinary teams covering end-to-end processes. We are currently looking to strengthen our Corporate Banking (CB) and Personal & Business Banking (P&BB) teams. For these teams we are specifically seeking audit professionals with credit risk and IT audit experience.
Working environment
ABN AMRO Bank N.V. focuses primarily on the North-Western Europe market and offers services to Personal & Business Banking, Wealth and Corporate Banking clients. Different products and services are offered ranging from straightforward payment products to (more complex) lending products. All these activities form part of the audit universe and offer a diverse and complex environment for you to develop, excel and display your audit skills.
As Senior Auditor you will be based in Amsterdam, working in a balanced hybrid mode between the ABN AMRO Head Office and your home office. Your profile
Group Audit is looking for a qualified audit professional, with at least five years of experience in a Financial Services environment, and an affinity with ABN AMRO’s strategic objectives. A suitable candidate has demonstrable experience in the field of credit risk and/or IT Audit. Also, as Senior Auditor candidate:
You can work independently and within a team. You are expected (in consultation with your audit team) to come to a balanced opinion and to clearly communicate the audit opinion to the auditee. You independently write reports in which the situation found, identified shortcomings and underlying root causes are clearly expressed;
You have a curious mindset, are eager to learn and take initiative;
You are a strong communicator, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely, to bring balanced assurance messages and value-adding insights;
You are accurate, diligent and a team player who is very capable of working in an international audit environment, sharing specialist knowledge;
You are analytically strong and have an intrinsic interest to understand processes, systems and the culture of the bank;
You have a strong moral compass and act in accordance with the standards of the bank as well as the various professional associations;
You have obtained a professional auditor qualification (e.g. Dutch RE, RO, RA or International equivalent);
You are fluent in English and have a good command of the Dutch language.
