The role of the Process & Project Enabler/IT Asset & Configuratiotn Manager is within the Center of Excellence (CoE) IT Control & Service Management which is part of our (IT) 1Global organization. 
As IT Asset & Configuration Manager, you are the point of contact within IT C&SM for everything related to insight into IT resources and services. You are passionate, driven and know how to connect with the organization.
You manage the CMDB within our ITSM solution (ServiceNow). In doing so, you ensure that changes to the system and its content are controlled and structured. You work together with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external. You do this also in close collaboration with IT collegues in the other regions we are located in (AP and US). 

Your job

As IT Asset &  Configuration Manager for our IT Service Management team, you will be overall responsible for maintaining, updating and enhancing the Asset Management module/process. You also act as the backup of the Change Management manager. Together with the wider Service Management team you deliver value to the business partners, aiming for stakeholder satisfaction.


Job Responsibilities:

  • You oversee all hardware assets (personal computers, printers, routers, servers, ...), software assets (applications, databases, web sites, cloud environments, ...) and financial assets (contracts, software licenses, ...) in the organization.
  • You take care for proper registration of all hardware, software and financial assets in the CMDB and further enhance it.
  • You create and implement strategies for effective IT Asset Management (ITAM) systems.
  • You develop and enforce ITAM policies and best practices.
  • You are responsible for both the operational work round ITAM as well as to process part (improving asset management processes and document it).
  • You assist in the setup of Clearings CSDM (Common Services Data Model).
  • You integrate ITAM with other ITIL processes.
  • You will act as the backup of our IT change manager.
  • You collaborate and cooperate with IT teams and individuals across the globe on various initiative, projects and tasks.

Working environment

In your role as IT Asset & Configuration Manager you are member of the Center of Excellence (CoE) team called IT Control & Service Management. This CoE is part the 1Global organization which includes IT and Business specialists around the globe. The 1Global organization consists of the Product GRID (mainly responsible for software development, maintenance and DevOps support), the Platform GRID (mainly responsible for developing and maintaining our on-prem and cloud-based infrastructure environments) and 3 CoE's (IT Control & Service Management, IT Architecture and IT Security). Most of the work done in the 1Global organization is done in an Agile way.

Prioritization of work and project-related budget allocation is done on high-level via the QBR (Quarterly Business Review) process and meetings.

 

The CoE IT Control & Service Management is setup of three streams: IT Control, IT Service Management and IT Supplier Management.
The IT Control team is responsible for maintaining and updating the IT risk management framework and is also guiding and managing internal and external audits.

The Service Management team is mainly responsible for ITIL process management (Incident Mngt, Change Mngt, Problem Mngt, Asset Mngt, ...), performance management, monitoring & audit, Chain control, service agreements and escalation management (e.g. Group SLAs standards, IGAs).

And Supplier Management is responsible for optimizing the third party contract management for external software and HR-vendors.

Your role is in the IT Service Mngt stream where you work closely together with IT SM colleagues, PO's, IT Engineers, IT Platform Engineers and Business Developers in both the Product and Platform GRID. And you also work together with colleagues in the other CoEs and in other regions (AP and US).

Your profile

Must have job requirements:

  • 7+ years of working experience in an IT Service Management environment.
  • 3+ years of IT Asset Management experience.
  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree or equivalent degree/experience.
  • ITIL v3/4 Practitioner certification
  • CITAM (Certified IT Asset Manager) or CSAM (Certified Software Asset Manager) or CITAM (Certified Information Technology Asset Manager) or comparable certification

 

It would be great if you meet these requirements as well (partially):

  • CHAMP (Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional).
  • Experience with ITIL Change Management preferred.
  • Experience working in a regulated and/or financial and/or IT industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian Products (Jira, Confluence) and/or ServiceNow a plus.
  • Familiarity of IT best practices, particularly in the financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of information management and of IT systems, processes, and regulations.
