Are you the passionate and proactive information risk manager who supports ABN AMRO Clearing (AACB) in managing its information and cyber risk posture? Do you have a critical mind and are able to challenge and convince stakeholders? Within our Information and Operational Risk Department (I&ORM) we are looking for a professional who is keen on developing AACB information risk capabilities, which enables management to define its Information Risk posture, make informed decisions, prioritize resources and mitigate risks effectively.
Your job
As an Information Risk Manager, you'll play a key role in protecting AACB against IT- Information Security and Cyber risk. Your ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders, combined with a critical and assertive mindset, will help elevate AACB’s risk management capabilities. You'll ensure that management can make informed decisions, prioritize resources, and mitigate risks effectively. In the context of information security, you, together in a global team of Information risk managers, take care of our risk instruments, risk analyses, control testing, risk tooling, training and evaluation.
In this role, you will:
Act as a trusted advisor and challenge the organization on its information risk posture and maturity of controls.
Provide guidance and facilitate proactive alignment to keep AACB’s processes and IT infrastructure secure and operational.
Work collaboratively within a global team of Information Risk Managers across multiple regions, including Amsterdam, London, Chicago, Sydney, Singapore, Brazil and Tokyo.
Manage and execute activities such as risk management methodology and processes, risk analyses, control testing, risk assessments, awareness programs, and training initiatives.
Report on IT and information security status to key stakeholders, including internal and external auditors and regulators.
The AACB 1Global strategy strives to harmonize their global platform and applications, including Cloud, DevOps and a journey to use Artificial Intelligence. I&ORM play a crucial role a structured and controlled launch and embedment.
According to ABN Amro’s 3 Lines of Defence model, AACB Risk constitutes the 2nd Line of Defence for Information & Operational Risk Management.
Working environment
ABN Amro Clearing Bank (AACB) operates as a specialized business within ABN AMRO, with its own banking license (ABN Amro Clearing Bank NV) and a global presence of approximately 1,000 FTE. AACB plays an important infrastructural role in the financial markets. As such it is closely monitored by Regulators and Central Banks. This is augmented by the fact that AACB holds significant market shares in financial markets across the globe holding top spots in clearing on numerous exchanges in every region.
AACB I&ORM has a global focus and substituted by a regional present in the regions Europe (Amsterdam, London), USA (Chicago) and Asia-Pacific (Sydney, Singapore, Tokyo).
Your profile
You are a risk specialist with extensive information security experience and strong soft skills like you have a strong vision and are pro-active in taking initiatives. You are risk aware, and have a good talent in stakeholder management, without being shy in showing backbone
• Bachelor - Academic level • 8 - 10 years experience in the financial sector
• Experience in 2LOD Risk Management in the financial sector • Certification of Information Security Management (e.g. CISM, CISSP, CISA), RE title and/or IT management related degree at a bachelor’s / masters level • Knowledge of Information Security standards and regulations (NIST FS, ISO 27 001/2, ISF Standards of Good Practice) • Team player in a multicultural environment (we use English to communicate) • Knowledge of process design & process management • Knowledge of Business and IT architecture • Solid understanding of regulatory landscape in the financial sector
