Your job

As a Data Consultant, you will be at the forefront of coordinating and implementing strategic data-driven projects across multiple teams. Your role entails successful execution of complex change programs and data products delivery, while acting as a bridge between various stakeholders, facilitating seamless communication and collaboration to optimize processes, by leveraging your expertise in analytics, business analysis and modelling. You will lead selected analytics topics within the scope of your team and act as fractional Product Owner, while closely cooperating with the Lead Product Owner – Data Domain Store and the Head of BI & Analytics CoE in setting and executing the shared vision for the Data Domain.

In your role as a Data Consultant, you will:

• Facilitate the implementation of change projects by establishing processes and planning future migrations
• Serve as a translator for topics intersecting teams in Data Domains, Platform & Technology, Central Data Office etc
• Lead the communication and alignment for creation of data products
• Support data modelers and analysts hands-on by handling selected use cases with a focus on modelling and analytics
• Evaluate existing data systems across different domains and look for improvements
• Engage in complex long term projects, with focus on continuous delivery in small increments 
• Be proactive in seeking opportunities to improve with regards to team, processes and data
• Be happy to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams & promote teams working together at all levels
• Stay curious, ask enough questions to deep dive and not hesitate to change/ challenge the status quo

Working environment

We are Accounts, Savings & Transactions, and Insurances (AST&I) data domain situated within Transaction Banking product unit, which covers a vast portfolio of products: accounts, payment cards, packages, savings, insurances, open banking APIs, trade finance, digital products like Apple Pay/ Google Pay, and associated sales, business & risk management processes. We contribute significantly to the revenue of the bank, manage different regulatory and operational topics, and contribute to Objectives and Key Results for the Client Unit, serving about 6 million Personal & Business Banking customers.

The AST&I data domain is composed of 4 teams – 1) BI & Analytics CoE, team of data analysts responsible for the BI, Reporting and Data Analytics use cases 2) Advanced Analytics & AI CoE, team of Data Scientists responsible for the portfolio of Advanced Analytics use cases 3) Data Products CoE, team of data stewards and data product owner responsible for data management and Data Product coordination 4) Transaction Banking Domain Data Store, team of data engineers, machine learning engineers and modellers responsible for providing data foundation and platform to create business value from data. Your profile

Do you think you are a fit? Check your qualifications

• Degree in STEM or economics/business, with an analytics focus 
• 7+ years of work experience, with at least 5 years in data analytics (Analystics, Modelling, Data Products)
• Relevant experience of Agile/ DevOps/Project management
• Proven experience in coordinating multi-team projects with a strong focus on data-driven initiatives
• Excellent communication, ability to facilitate discussions & translate requirements for technical & business teams
• Good understanding of Data Warehouse concepts and data modelling techniques
• Proficiency in programming language such as SQL and Python
• Strong and clear communication skills in English (Dutch is a bonus)
• Experience in working well with multinational teams spread across countries
• Great to have: Good understanding of cloud technology e.g. Azure Cloud Services
• Great to have: Microsoft PL-300 certification and/or Certified Databricks Data Analyst Associate
