Integrator Data Archiving Migration Intern

At a glance

Are you an HBO or WO student eager to develop strong leadership skills in Project Management and Solution Integration? Then this internship is for you. You will play a key role in leading the migration of data storage to a new archive solution, coordinating both business and IT teams while ensuring smooth technical and organizational integration.

You will join the I&T Office – Program Management & Integration department, where you will strengthen your leadership abilities, learn to manage complex dependencies, and build hands‑on experience in stakeholder management, including communication with senior management. This internship is ideal if you want to learn how to navigate challenges, resolve blocking issues, and lead teams through a high‑impact migration.

Your job

  • Define the requirements and scope of the data migration in close collaboration with senior management.
  • Develop the overall migration approach and guide the involved teams in shaping the solution.
  • Create a structured project plan that outlines all steps needed for successful execution.
  • Conduct a risk assessment and obtain approval from senior management before starting execution.
  • Present your proposed plans, approach, and identified risks to senior stakeholders.
  • Lead the kickoff and act as the central point of contact for all IT teams and business units involved in the migration.
  • Coordinate and oversee the technical implementation and data migration activities carried out by the IT teams.
  • Report progress, challenges, and mitigation actions to senior management while working with tools such as Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Azure Boards, Jira Align, and IT migration tools.

Your working environment

You will join the I&T Office – Program Management & Integration department, where we manage and develop the Microsoft 365 platform used by more than 30,000 colleagues across the Netherlands and international locations. Our department is responsible for ensuring the secure, reliable, and compliant operation of key collaboration and storage platforms such as SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and enterprise‑wide data storage solutions.

You will work within an IT team of 10–20 dedicated professionals, collaborating closely with engineers, product specialists, and project managers who support and improve the bank’s core collaboration ecosystem. The team combines technical expertise with a strong focus on business needs, creating an environment where you will learn how large‑scale platforms are managed, how decisions are made, and how technology supports the daily work of thousands of employees. Our culture encourages teamwork, continuous improvement, and taking ownership—giving you the opportunity to contribute to high‑impact initiatives from day one.

Your profile

  • You have a strong interest in leadership and project management, and you are eager to develop and apply these skills in a real‑world environment.
  • You are currently enrolled in an HBO or WO program, preferably in a field related to management or a similar discipline.
  • You naturally take on a team‑builder and leadership role, and you enjoy guiding others toward shared goals.
  • You have a strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset, allowing you to navigate complex challenges.
  • You communicate effectively and enjoy working in a multidisciplinary setting with both business and IT stakeholders.
  • You are curious, proactive, and enthusiastic about learning new skills, tools, and ways of working.
  • You are fluent in English; Dutch is a plus but not mandatory.
  • You are available for an internship of up to one year, starting March 1st or as soon as possible.

What we offer

  • A personal work laptop to support your development and daily tasks.
  • Travel allowance to make commuting easy and convenient.
  • Monthly internship compensation of €750.
  • An informal, multicultural, and highly professional work environment, where you will collaborate with experienced data engineers, product specialists, and project managers.
  • Membership in the Young ABN AMRO Community, giving you access to social events, networking opportunities, workshops, and activities to help you integrate into the bank and connect with other young professionals and interns.
