Internship Quality Assurance

At a glance

Are you excited to become part of a team that develops the corporate websites behind ABN AMRO? Then we need you! We’re looking for a QA Engineer that will help us to create more stable, reliable and bug-free websites.

Your job

The team you’ll join manages about 15 websites, these includes websites like abnamro.com, abnamrolease.com, abnamrocomfin.com, stakaab.org etc. And even more are being built! Since the amount of websites is growing fast and new features are being added, you as a QA engineer will help us to identify bugs at an early stage. You will do this by testing finished user stories from our engineers, by doing both manual testing and writing automation tests.

Your working environment

The team is a happy, fun, and hardworking team, with team members in the Netherlands and Poland. We are ambitious, but still interact informal. The team is full-stack, consists of about 10 people and includes backend-, frontend- and cloud engineers, a Product Owner and a UX designer. You will work closely together with everyone in the team and other stakeholders to make sure we meet our business requirements. You will also get the opportunity to join the QA circle, which is a network of QA engineers across the bank that shares knowledge and support.

You’ll be working in the Digital Channel Capabilities grid, in short DCC. This department is responsible for digital solutions for our clients and other departments within the organization. You will become part of 1 of their team’s called team Pieoneers. And yes, the ‘e’ is no typo, we just love pie ;)

Your profile

  • You are enrolled in a Dutch university/school
  • You are a Bachelor/Master student
  • You have some level of experience in testing and/or software engineering
  • You are familiar with HTML, CSS and Javascript
  • You show a strong interest in software quality assurance
  • You’re eager to learn and work with latest technologies
  • You have an eye for detail which you can use to quickly identify bugs
  • You’re a team player
  • You have strong communication skills in English
  • Experience with integration tests, functional tests and/or end-to-end tests is a big plus
