Zscaler DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a network security engineer with ambition in securing clouds and workplaces with Zero trust techniques. Knowledge on techniques and frameworks as SASE, Zero Trust, Proxy, Firewall, Loadbalancers, will be very important since you will be working in a network security team that installs, builds and maintains the internet and private access security of our big enterprise network. Experience in such environments is off course a big advantage.

Your job

We are looking for a Network Security Engineer to assist in our Zscaler implementation that we use to securely connect all our users from any location to our private resources and the Internet. This environment is always changing and has many opportunities for improving experience and skills. 

The candidate must be able to plan for service availability, and disaster-recovery scenarios for the full range of products within the portfolio. Tasks and responsibilities will be the design, development, securing, implementing, maintaining and operating Zscaler services and products, but also involve Azure and Datacenter products and solutions in other network areas where needed. 

Working environment

The candidate will become part of the Networks organisation, responsible for the design, development, operations and support of all our network products, solutions, functions, resources & capabilities. Together with an enthusiastic and high skilled team of Specialists you will take end-to-end responsible for the Products and Solutions developed and owned by this team. This Network Security DevOps team is part of an department with multiple other Teams working closely together to deliver value to our platforms / consumers / business teams. We value and motivate collaboration, knowledge sharing and nurture an agile and growth mind set. 

The environment you will be working on is one of the showcase customers for Zscaler. Connecting Virtual workstations, Macbooks and Windows through a zero trust connectivity exchange. The team is relatively small team with Dutch and foreign engineers. And connects with Security and Workplace teams for further improving an developing our platform. Lot of the work is possible to do it remote, but we also plan days in the Office in Amstelveen. 

Your profile

Must have:

  • Knowledge of Network and Security with relevant certifications
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Service oriented with a growth mind-set
  • Has a strong security focus and is risk aware
  • You are available for at least 36 hours per week


Nice to have:

  • Knowledge about traditional IT Infrastructure
  • Knowledge about Network Infrastructure
  • Experience with the Agile and DevOps way of working
  • Drives knowledge sharing in the team and organisation
