ABN AMRO Traineeships Inhouse Day
Always been curious about finance and what it's like to work at a bank? And curious about how you can make a difference at ABN AMRO after graduating from university? Then come to our in-house day on Friday 12 April!
During this informative day, four of our traineeships (Wealth Management, Personal & Business Banking, Corporate Banking and ABN AMRO Clearing) will present themselves to you. The ideal opportunity to familiarise yourself in one day with the various possibilities of working at ABN AMRO as a trainee, ask all your questions and meet our current trainees.
This in-house day will take place at ABN AMRO's headquarters (Gustav Mahlerlaan 10, Amsterdam).

09:30 - 10:00: Walk-in and registration

11:00 - 11:15: Short break
11:15 - 12:00: Getting started as a trainee: What are your opportunities?
12:00 - 13:00: Lunch & networking
13:00 - 14:45: Break-out session 1
14:45 - 15:00: Short break
15:00 - 16:45: Break-out session 2
16:45 - 18:00: Career Fair + closing drinks
Participating traineeships
During the in-house day, there will be two different break-out sessions. When you register, please indicate which two (of these three) traineeships interest you most, so that we can take this into account when organising the sessions.
Corporate Banking Traineeship (Please note, this session will be hosted in English)
Corporate Bank is ABN AMRO's business bank. Here we serve large companies and institutions. Within this traineeship, there are various tracks where you can start as a trainee. During the intake day, we will introduce them to you.
Wealth Management / Personal & Business Banking Traineeship (Please note, this session will be hosted in Dutch)
As a trainee within the Wealth Management Traineeship or Personal & Business Banking Traineeship, you follow the same traineeship, but the difference lies in the client group you serve. Within Personal & Business Banking, for example, you will work in the department that provides services to both consumers and business customers. Within Wealth Managment, these are high-net-worth clients with disposable assets of at least €500,000. During the in-house day, they will tell more about the similarities but also differences between both traineeships and their clients in a joint session.
ABN AMRO Global Clearing Traineeship (Please note, this session will be hosted in English)
Under Clearing, all activities come together from the moment an obligation (purchase or sale) for a transaction is entered into until it is settled. ABN AMRO Clearing acts as an intermediary between clients and the exchanges on which these clients trade. As a trainee, you will work with colleagues around the world to serve the best trading houses through a global network. During the in-house day, we will be happy to explain to you how ABN AMRO Clearing operates as an independent bank within ABN AMRO.
Career Fair
At the end of the day, it is also possible to visit the Career Fair. Here, various other ABN AMRO departments and networks will be present to tell you more about working at ABN AMRO.
