Do you see yourself as a pragmatic professional with a keen eye for (credit) risk management? Then you could be our new colleague!

Your job

In your role as Senior Advisor Regulations & Policies, your regulatory knowledge and expertise allows you to provide the organization with intelligent yet pragmatic solutions. You ensure that these are regulatory compliant and support the bank’s strategy and its core values, such as client centricity. You are a trusted advisor to (senior) 1st and 2nd line colleagues, you provide advice and challenge where and when necessary. You are able to translate complex material into useful and easy-to-digest policies and communication. Regular activities will include:

  • Identify and interpretate (new) prudential regulation, as well as the practical application thereof in policies.
  • Develop and maintain a consistent and useful set of (credit risk) policies, that guide the activities of the business and risk organisation and reflect regulations, risk appetite, (risk) strategy and commercial choices.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders on relevant topics: explain, provide solutions or advise, collaborate and build relationships. A pro-active approach is appreciated.
  • Operate in a multi-disciplinary project-setting to support larger regulatory change processes, including ESG, CRR3/BIV.
  • Support the bank in its regulatory dialogues, including on-site inspections by and information requests from our supervisors (ECB/DNB).

Working environment

The Regulations & Policies team provides you with a dynamic, international and informal working environment. The team is part of the larger Central Risk Management Department and works closely together with the colleagues of Basel Centre, as well as in multi-disciplinary teams with colleagues of CRM and other Risk, Compliance and first line departments within the bank. The vacant position offers ample (career) opportunities to develop and broaden your knowledge of risk management and the bank’s activities, and to develop your stakeholder management and communication skills.

Your profile

You are a great candidate to become our new colleague, if you meet the following description:

  • You have a good understanding of (credit risk) regulations, such as the Basel/CRD framework and EBA LOM;
  • You have 5+ years of relevant experience in the credit risk field with either risk policies or regulations, modelling and/or credit risk decisioning;
  • You are pro-active, pragmatic, solutions-oriented team player with high quality standards;

  • You have experience in stakeholder management and are able to balance various opinions and interests, while securing an effective outcome of the process;
  • You have an academic educational background in an economic, business or legal field.

We will evaluate candidates based on their individual qualities as well as on the basis of their added value to the skills, knowledge and diversity of the team.
