Je werk

In your first few weeks at ABN AMRO you’ll follow the 5-week training program of the Corporate Banking Talent Program together with your fellow graduates. Besides a broad introduction to ABN AMRO, you’ll participate in hands-on training in the fields of Accounting, Financial Analysis, Financial Modelling, Banking, Credit Risk and personal development. Trainings will be delivered by those at the very top of their field. Together, they will give you a solid basis for further development within the bank. At the same time, you will build an network of graduates spanning several parts of the Corporate Bank. A great start to your career at ABN AMRO! Following the initial training, you’ll specialise in the Financing Solutions Corporate Banking department, working on complex financing transactions for companies with turnovers between EUR 2.5 and EUR 250 million.

Werkomgeving

The Corporate Banking Financing Solutions track of the Corporate Banking Talent Program consists of multiple rotations of 3 to 6 months. The entire program lasts 24-months. Together with your Pool Manager you will have the opportunity to plan your rotations and have a tailor-made program. Generally, you will start in one of the Lending teams. Afterwards, you will have a rotations the other teams such as  Event Finance or Project Finance. Furthermore, you will have the possibility for a rotation outside FS in departments such as Capital Structuring Advisory or Loan Syndications. Other options within the bank are also certainly possible, it’s up to you!

You will assist your colleagues in originating and structuring complex loans for our clients in various sectors and will work closely with other departments in the bank. You will be in the centre of lending expertise, contributing to accelerating the sustainability shift of our clients and making the Bank a future-proof bank. As part of the FS team you will be trained to become a banking professional and acquire in-depth knowledge of debt financing, lending, risk management and more.

Je profiel

Requirements:

  • Academic Master’s degree with excellent grades;
  • A natural feeling for finance and strong affinity with corporate banking. A finance or economics master is not a prerequisite, we welcome candidates with different backgrounds.
  • Relevant internships;
  • Extracurricular experience and/or experience abroad;
  • No more than 1 year of work experience;
  • Strong communication skills in Dutch & English, in writing and speaking;
  • Curious, excelling in a dynamic and changing work environment;
  • Able to analyse the details and at the same time see the bigger picture;
  • Entrepreneurial and accountable mind-set, taking ownership of your work;
  • Natural team player embracing diversity with a willingness to work hard to get the job done.
  • You are socially engaged and care about making the world more sustainable.

  • During the Corporate Banking FS Talent Programme, you will discover in 24 months what working at the bank can offer you. You will actively expand your knowledge and follow an excellent training programme offered by Nyenrode. Through your rotations at various departments within FS and the bank, you will quickly build a network and get to know the bank even better. You will also work intensively on your personal development. This is how you will discover how best to use your talent. Your manager, close colleagues, a mentor and a personal coach from Nyenrode will provide intensive guidance.

The general weeks of training will take place at the beginning of September and March, although we welcome applications throughout the year as we offer a rolling starting date. When you’re invited to take an aptitude test, you must complete it within five days. The test comprises sequences of numbers, figures and matrices. Furthermore the procedure consists of two interviews and a final meeting with one of our MT members.
