Senior IT Development Engineer I Data Platform

ABN AMRO Asset Based Finance N.V. (ABF) is a subsidiary of ABN AMRO bank. At ABN AMRO Asset based finance, we provide financing solutions for our customers based on assets. 
Within the Software Engineering department we take care of all software development, configuration, implementation and maintenance for all applications that support our business processes. Within Software Engineering, we currently have 14 scrum teams working on improving and maintaining various applications. As part of the IT strategy ABF decided to create and implement a common data platform and to move to the Microsoft Azure cloud.
 

Your job

For current and future Data Integration for regulatory reporting purposes, ABN AMRO Asset based finance is creating a Data Platform. This data platform is a key component part of the ABF Data Strategy and critical for several projects related to regulatory compliancy. A small team of 3 people is responsible for the development and maintenance. Currently the role of senior developer is vacant.

Working environment

You will work as a senior designer and developer as part of the scrum team and will be taking ownership for the following user stories.
-    Together with Data Architect, translate data roadmap into product backlog items
-    Deliver a data platform, initially based on an on premise solution (Microsoft SQL Server)
-    Migrate and extend the Data Platform to the Azure Cloud, applying Azure services
-    Design & Develop data distribution mechanisms
-    Design & Develop Data Integration patterns
-    Further develop from Dev to DevOPS on Azure Cloud
 

Your profile

You comply to the following skills and competences         
-    Extensive experience in Business Intelligence, Datawarehouse, Database principles, ETL processes and security
-    In possession of Azure certifications (for example AZ-900, AZ-103, DP-900,DP-20x and DP-30x)
-    Experience in Azure cloud implementation
-    Experience of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) , SQL Server , TFS (Team Foundation Server), SQL connections
-    Experience in Python, GIT & Power BI.
-    Software release management skills and knowledge.
-    Strong analytical skills & conceptual thinking; 
-    Enjoys programming, taking pride in work, resulting in high quality work.
-    Easily picks up new technologies and IT products.
-    Proactive attitude with ability to self-manage.
-    Communicative skilled and confident and comfortable dealing with users and stakeholders directly.
-    Good knowledge of the English language, spoken and written
-    Team player with a flexible attitude and humour.
