  • My internship in the Market Risk team provided me with valuable hands-on experience in risk management and a better idea how to bridge the gap between the risk side and other stakeholders within financial institutions. I highly valued the support and knowledge-sharing within the team, which allowed me to grow both personally and professionally.

A. Gonçalves

Consultant Financial Risk Management, Deloitte

  • To start off, it’s super cool to work in the dealing room. You get to see the global markets department of ABN AMRO, from traders to risk managers. Working with the risk managers is amazing. You have the opportunity to learn so much from these competent people and also to improve on your technical skills. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and it ended up being a great start of my career.

 B. van Arem

Investment Manager, ABN AMRO Pensioenfonds

  • If you are interested in applying your quantitative skills to financial markets and risk, I can definitely recommend this internship to you!
During the time I joined this team I was amazed by how many practical knowledge I was gaining on various types of risk, valuation of financial instruments, and so much more. This is mainly due to the large responsibility given to you from day 1 - even though you are an intern, you get fully involved right away. The big variety of projects, whether it is automating a process in Python or writing a report, makes this internship exciting and a good opportunity for personal growth.
Moreover, everyone in the team and Dealingroom is very open to talk to and learn from, making it also lots of fun!
