We are looking for a Cloud Engineer with a strong technical background and a “can-do” mentality who is eager to further grow as an Engineer and join our Digital Channels Business and Wealth Grid. Our Grid is part of Digital Banking services that is responsible for creating the smoothest banking experience for our commercial and private clients.

Working environment

Our teams are working on Digital platform and digital products & services offered to commercial and clients via Internet Banking Portals. Cloud Enabling, Customer Portal Development, Payment solutions, Reporting Solution, Client Onboarding, Manage Customer Data, Sales & Service of products are some of the challenging projects teams work on.

We have embraced DevOps way of working where we strive towards self-organising teams which have the autonomy to make quick decisions. The atmosphere within the team and the department is open and informal. You will work in a diverse team with many different nationalities, and a good gender diversity and junior-senior ratio.

We have a variety of communities and chapters where the knowledge is actively shared. Chapters are divided based on specialized skill area and you will be placed in one of the chapters. Chapters have chapter lead who will guide the chapter members to develop/enhance the skills, help with the setup of development path and personal goals. We believe in continuous learning and development, so we ask you to choose your own development path in consultation with your chapter lead.

Your job

You will be part of the Cloud Enabling team. The vision of the team is to have support the teams in their azure journey, explore new technology, cloud knowledge management, and have governance on the cloud solutions. As an engineer you will analyze, design, build, test, govern the solutions. Your work area includes:

  • Work in a DevOps team with autonomy and participate proactively in team decisions.
  • Explore cloud products and work on PoC’s for various patterns.
  • Work with other dev-ops team to enable them and accelerate their development and recommend best practice architectures.
  • Enable dev-ops teams and give advice on security, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency for solutions.
  • Conduct the review of the cloud solutions.
  • Share feedback on Azure products and Azure platform to internal central platform and product teams.
  • Create and capture best practices, technical content, and reference design patterns on wiki.
  • Collaborate with team members and provide workshops and knowledge sharing sessions on Azure.
  • Work on the training and learnings path created as part of the chosen development plan.
  • Active participation in the relevant communities e.g., Azure.

Your profile

Specialized Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with Azure products like App Service, Key Vault, Application Gateway, Virtual Network, Storage Accounts, Azure Monitor, Azure Active Directory.
  • Experience with ARM templates and PowerShell.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), version control and release management.
  • Good experience with the Agile way-of-working.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes and AKS) is an advantage.

Skills and Competences

  • Highly motivated team player who focuses on collaboration with strong communication skills and strong sense of accountability and ownership.
  • Actively seeks help and feedback but is not afraid to give feedback either.
  • Drives knowledge sharing in team and community.
  • Must be fluent (spoken and written) in English.
  •  Fluent in Dutch (advantage).
