In short

As a Business Developer Reporting you are energetic and have a passion for smart thinking and taking action. Questions don’t scare you. You are curious, like to learn and solve problems. You have a proven track record in organising, designing and continuously improving processes, data, data quality and applications for Financial and Risk Reporting. Together with your colleagues, you decide the way of working within your expertise; you share specific knowledge, divide the areas and set standards. You are part of a multi disciplinary team consisting of Business and IT (referred to as ‘block’) to achieve goals within your cluster (referred to as ‘GRID’). 
 

Your Work

With everything you do, the focus is on serving the interests of our internal and external stakeholders. We optimise within the framework provided by Legislation and ABN AMRO’s Strategy. Within Finance and Risk this implies implementing Regulatory prescribed Financial and Risk Reporting in the best way possible, improving the (data) architecture, and data quality. Also, we contribute to realise the future Finance and Risk landscape so that we continuously improve the speed with which we can respond to requests from our Business stakeholders and Regulators. It is a widely defined role. Dependent on your specific assignment, your role can vary between generic coordinating and in-depth specialisation. As a Business Developer, you are concerned with the consultancy questions around data, data models, the reports and IT processes. You innovate, advise, improve, train, trouble-shoot, and implement. Together with your team, you are the experts on data requirements for Finance & Risk Reporting. You reach your objectives by bringing your specialty and pursuing active cooperation with professionals from business and IT. Your autonomous way of working in an Agile environment is key to your success.

Your environment

You operate within the Finance and Risk Reporting Grid. This is a cluster of Agile teams called Value Delivery blocks. You become part of the Value Proposition Team Granular Reporting, which is responsible to ensure all required data attribute requirements are clear to source by the entities and to be consumed by the consuming solutions. You sculpt the future proof solutions for Financial and Risk Reporting. The GRID consists of approx 200 colleagues, who all share the passion for continuously improving the vast set of reports created by the bank. You also contribute to the medium and long term strategy for the Finance and Risk landscape. You will have plenty of opportunity to work with colleagues outside the Reporting GRID. We are highly dependent on other GRID’s to jointly create a streamlined supply chain of correct and complete data. We help you develop yourself both professionally and as a person.

You are an energetic person with a passion for combining both thinking and doing. You know what is going on in your organisation. Bringing valuable contribution towards your clients is a primary drive for working in a Grid. You take initiative in keeping your expertise at level, as well learning by doing to develop and deepen your skills. You work from a vision, which you communicate persuasively to establish buy-in from internal and external stakeholders. You keep direction and persevere to implement chosen solutions. You receive energy from sharing knowledge and skills. Reversely, you seek what you can learn from colleagues.

  • Education at academic level (University).
  • You want to broaden and deepen your consulting and analytical skills related to reporting, processes, data and applications.
  • You are knowledgeable on Finance/Risk and reporting processes.
  • You have experience in enterprise data platform design, data ingestion, and data integration (transformation) – it’s an advantage.
  • You have experience in conceptual, logical and physical data modelling– it’s an advantage.
  • You have affinity and experience in the designing and implementing of processes, IT and data management.
  • You are Fluent in English.
