Business Process Manager

At a glance

Are you a natural with processes and want to use your skills to keep ABN AMRO and her customers safe? Then we are looking for you!
ABN AMRO bank aims to be a personal bank in the digital age. However, the digital age comes with certain risks. Not a day goes by without a story in the media about cybercrime or fraud; individuals being scammed, companies being affected by malware and data breaches. The world around us is changing at a fast pace and so is ABN AMRO bank with its digital transformation. To ensure our digital transformation is being done in a secure manner we have several security processes and tools in place.
By prescribing information security standards, providing the right tooling, and automating processes, we integrate security in the DevOps way of working. Hereby guiding and enabling our colleagues to deliver secure products and applications for our customers.
As Business Process Manager (Security) you are in the security Process & Tooling team which is a sub team of the CISO T&E Security Culture & Transformation team. Our purpose is to support and manage the continuous improvement and transformation of the security processes & tooling within our CISO Technology & Engineering portfolio as well as broader in our CISO organisation. The processes and tools managed in this team impact all applications across the bank.

Do you have a passion for contributing to securing our society? Do you have a good sense for efficient and consumable processes? Does training others give you energy? Then tell us your story, we are curious. If you are good, we promise to make you even better!

Your job

As Business Process Manager (Security) you directly contribute to keeping ABN AMRO bank and her clients secure. You help to manage, maintain, and update these processes and tooling as well as discover more efficient ways to make use of the available data. You provide training sessions and gain input from colleagues to continuously work to find ways to improve process efficiency and consumability. You play a crucial role in all security processes that ensure our DevOps teams can deliver secure and consumable products and applications for our customers. From mobile banking to becoming a customer with a selfie, to Apple Watch technology and paying with your smartphone.
You are part of an Agile team that brainstorms and provides advise to optimise security processes. You will work together with our first-, second- and third lines of defence colleagues to further improve, support and manage our security processes and tooling that are used by colleagues across ABN AMRO and its daughters both in The Netherlands and internationally. Talking and listening to your internal consumers and stakeholders as well as guiding them through the security landscape will set the basis for continuous process improvements and transformations.

Your day-to-day activities would include:

  • Manage, update, and maintain information security management processes and tooling
  • Enable teams through advice and support to manage the security of their products in line with the standards set by the bank
  • Train teams in consuming security processes and standards as offered by the bank
  • Create self-service digital (training) content to support the teams utilising these products & services
  • Contribute to prescribing and implementing information security standards
  • Enable teams to transform their products and services with a security mindset

Technology and Engineering (T&E) is part of Corporate Information Security Office (CISO). The CISO department consists of approx. 400 employees and works on the entire information security of the bank. In terms of hierarchy, there is little to be noticed as we work together in completing our tasks and managing our responsibilities. Moreover, we are socially involved and committed to the ABN AMRO Foundation.
Working at ABN AMRO means getting even better in what you do. We understand our customers, translate their ambitions into secure journeys and earn trust.
