We are looking for a new colleague in our Regulations & Policies Team for the role of Senior Advisor Regulations & Policies. Regulations which are applicable to banks are changing rapidly and can have a significant impact on the strategy we adopt, the decisions we make and the way we work. Your job

In your role as Advisor Regulations & Policies you are responsible to stay abreast of prudential regulations for a particular scope, and for developing and maintaining the associated risk policies. The risk policies are driven by laws and regulations, the bank's risk appetite and risk profile. They guide our daily activities of the business and risk organisation. Together with your team you will:
•    Ensure timely identification of new regulation, interpretation thereof and implementation in the bank’s risk policies, as well as ensuring the continuing compliance of the policies with existing regulation. Every team members is also co-responsible for the overall completeness, consistency and coherence of the Risk Policy Framework.
•    Assess (new) regulations for relevance to the bank and analyse the impact of the regulations on the bank and its activities.
•    Use your expertise to pro-actively give guidance to and communicate with the risk types, business lines, grids, senior management and other stakeholders, to ensure that new (policy) requirements are known and the regulatory change adopted correctly and on time.
•    Operate in a multi-disciplinary (project-)setting to support larger regulatory change processes and related activities. You participate in projects and contribute with your knowledge. You make an inventory of the consequences for internal and external developments, make agreements with project leaders about cooperation and expectations and coordinate the progress of the work with the project leader.
•    Support the organisation with on-site inspections by and information requests from our supervisors (ECB/DNB) regarding the bank’s risk policies and regulatory interpretation and implementation choices.

Working environment

Our team is part of the larger Enterprise Risk Management Network of the Central Risk Management Department and shares capacity and knowledge within that network. The team works closely with the colleagues of Basel Centre, as well as in multi-disciplinary teams with colleagues of the Enterprise Risk Management Network and other Risk, Compliance and first line departments within the bank. This position offers opportunities to develop and broaden your knowledge of prudential regulations, risk management and the bank’s policy framework and to develop your stakeholder management and communication skills. The Enterprise Risk Management Network offers great opportunities to learn about risk management across the bank.

Your profile

You are a great candidate to become our new colleague, if you meet the following description:

•    You have an excellent understanding of the Basel/Capital Requirements Directive framework, with specific experience in one or more of the following area(s): credit risk, operational risk, and/or market risk;
•    You are pro-active, pragmatic, solutions-oriented, organized and results-driven, while maintaining high quality standards;
•    You have good communications skills - both verbally and written. Fluency in English is a requirement, while command of the Dutch language is preferable;
•    You have experience with stakeholder management and are able to explain complex topics to colleagues with various backgrounds, experiences and seniority levels;
•    You have an academic educational background at Master’s level;
•    You are organisational sensitive and an enthusiastic team player.
