As an IT Engineer within our Core Transactions grid you will be part of the Cross Border team. Together we are responsible for maintaining and changing the Cross Border payment landscape and ensure the correct processing of all Cross Border payments.

Your job
Your main focus will be IT Operations, with special focus on gathering and safeguarding the non-functional/ operational requirements like performance, stability, reliability and security of the payment applications. You will gather and share knowledge with other colleagues in an IT Chapter team who are specialized in IT Operations and the technology of the mainframe platform
Your Tasks
Group mailbox handling.
Monitor our applications.
An active role in case of payment processing issues.
Keep our service administration up to date.
Reviewing and testing new additions/ changed components of our applications.
Pro-actively search for improvements in the Cross Border processing flow.
Gather non-functional /operational requirements and translate them to our developers.
Be part of brainstorm sessions in case of new functionality.
Share functional knowledge about Cross Border Payments within the Bank.
Help us spread the DevOps approach within the team.

Working environment
You will be part of a multidisciplinary DevOps team, consisting of IT Engineers, a Product Owner and a (rotating) Scrum Master. Together with your team you are responsible for building, running and maintaining critical payment applications. Also you will be working in a multi-vendor IT outsourced environment.
Your profile
You have a higher professional education or academic level of thinking, preferably obtained by completing a bachelor of master degree (a beta background is a plus);
You have experience in or have a special interest for the payments area;
You have experience in a relevant IT environment (IT service management (ITIL) and Scrum is definitely a plus);
You have knowledge of IT continuity and stability, development methods (Agile/Scrum/DevOps), testing, platform trends (cloud technology);
You are curious, eager to learn, have strong analytical skills and you like get to the bottom of things.
You have good communication skills (you know how to explain complex IT matters to third parties in an understandable way), you like to work with teams and individuals from different cultures and countries, you are also proficient in the English language;
Analytical skills and the ability to quickly master complex IT matters, make connections and are willing to invest time in developing yourself in accordance with market standards.
