As a Java developer, you contribute to these goals by focussing on helping the business within your department. You stay up to date on the latest developments and you educate yourself in becoming a technical expert. How are you going to shape innovation, advancements and projects within your department?

Working environment

You will be a part of the Credits Capability grid. The department is responsible for the development and delivery of credit products for Retail and Private Clients. You work within your DevOps scrum team, but you are also part of a community to share your knowledge about Java, testing, CICD etc. With Design Thinking our development teams research the real problems of our customers and come up with great solutions. We fully believe in 'Designing the right thing' and 'Designing things right'.

Your profile

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications and capabilities:

  • 5 - 10 years experience in Java development
  • Experience with Java 11 or higher
  • Experience with Spring boot
  • Experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, Jmeter, Karate etc.)
  • Experience with Azure Cloud Platform, CI/CD Tooling.
  • Experience with microservices architecture
  • Experience with REST and SOAP services
  • Experience with technologies like SQL, JPA, Linux
  • Experience in using Docker, Open-shift or Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of coding standards and principles ex: SOLID principle, Clean code, etc
  • Familiar with Agile concept and Scrum
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and writing) in English 
  • Experience using Kafka is a plus.
  • Based in the Netherlands already
