Your job
Corporate Investments are essential in achieving the Bank’s Climate Strategy and Targets. The Climate Plan of the Bank, published in 2022, stipulates the goal to increase early-stage capital to up to EUR 1 billion to support the new technologies required to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. Investments will include direct equity participations through our Sustainable Impact Fund, hybrid debt and fund investments that fit the energy transition theme. Your contribution as a Credit analyst is fundamental importance to the realization of the Bank’s ambitions.
As a Credit analyst for the Corporate Investment portfolio, it is your responsibility to:
Safeguard the moderate risk profile of the Bank by making substantiated and integrated risk advices on equity investment proposals
Present proposals and advices to the Investment Committee
Provide expert knowledge to relevant stakeholders
Be actively involved in portfolio monitoring.
Working environment
You will work within the Credit Risk Decisioning team General Corporates, Leveraged Finance, PBI and Corporate Investments, which is an international team consisting of 17 credit specialists based at the head office in Amsterdam. The team is responsible for all non-specialized sectors within CIC, covering NW-Europe in line with the strategy of the bank and for all Leveraged Finance transactions throughout the bank (CC and CIC). Next to this the team focusses on the largest Private Banking International files and is actively involved in the E&E proposition of the bank. You will be dedicated to the Corporate Investments portfolio, however, involvement in the lending segments within the team will be expected as well.
Your main stakeholder, Corporate Investments, is the Bank’s ‘centre of expertise’ for private equity investments. Some 20+ FTE’s originate, structure, manage and exit the (equity) investments. At Credit Risk Decisioning CI, it is our responsibility to support and take decisions by providing an independent risk assessment of the various equity investment proposals. These include Venture Capital, Private Equity, Fund Investments and Specialised Finance (debt to equity conversions). Your profile
We are looking for a passionate and hardworking professional with the following skills:
Academic degree in Economics, Econometrics, Business Administration or related field or equivalent level of knowledge
Knowledge and experience with some of the following topics: (private) equity, corporate finance, structured financing, strategic consultancy a/o (complex) credit structuring
At least 3 years of relevant working experience
Passionate about working on exciting transactions
Strong analytical skills, sense of ownership, risk mindset and constructive way of working
Strong communication skills, able to establish constructive relationships with all stakeholders
Excellent English written and verbal communication.
