The UK COO Office provides business support functions to the business lines and functions present in the UK, with the goal of enabling the smooth and efficient running of the organisation.
The UK COO Department is accountable for IT services (Platforms and Technology and Information Security) in combination with the central I&T Dept. The department is responsible for procurement services, on-shore business operations, buildings, facilities management and business continuity planning and co-ordination.
Your job
The Business Consultant works in close co-operation with the UK COO and the associated head office functions and has the following responsibilities:
Undertake projects and change activities in support of the UK Strategy as directed by the UK COO
Support the UK COO with day-to-day administrative activities including:
preparing presentations
creating (progress) reports for UK committees (UK Exco, UK Riskco etc)
coordinating, planning and tracking actions
Create the annual plan for the UK COO Dept, monitor and report progress
Plan, organise and co-ordinate multiple committees; schedule, prepare meetings, minute and monitor follow up of actions
Act as the local contact for UK Travel related queries, responsible for communicating travel matters to all staff and ensuring policy compliance
Act as a linking pin between strategic themes, projects and initiatives between head office and the UK
Manage and co-ordinate Insurance cover for UK entities
Co-ordinate policy and procedure updates for the UK COO Dept
Act as business continuity officer for the UK entities
Undertake risk tracking ensuring management systems are updated with evidence of adherence

Corporate and Institutional Banking which includes Corporate Banking, Clearing, Global Markets - Sales & Trading and Financial Institutions
Commercial Banking which includes Asset Based Finance and International Desk, which provides transactional banking services
Our business lines are supported by a number of functions such as Risk, Compliance, Legal, IT, Finance (Including Tax), Business Management and Human Resources. We currently employ approx. 380 people in the UK.
Your profile
Experience of working within Financial Services – preferably with exposure to IT & Operations functions
Educated to Degree level
Excellent analytical capabilities
Excellent communicative skills (written and verbal)

Comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and different business areas
