Internship Operations Clearing

During your internship at ABN AMRO it is necessary that you are enrolled at a Dutch education institution.

ABN AMRO Clearing Bank (AACB) is a leading global player in clearing and clearing related services. We provide professional clients access to financial markets around the globe. We are driven by IT solutions and need to have a continuous eye for automation and innovation as the world around us is changing constantly. The goal of Clearing Operations is to make client’s business easy, reliable and secure. By working together we are responsible for processing approximately 15 million transactions on average per day.

Your job

Your internship will be in the Corporate Actions team of the Processing department of Operations Clearing. Processing is the entry point to the day-to-day client business and the team knows & understands the entire transaction flow. Processing monitors this flow, solves errors and exceptions (whenever necessary), and maintains a robust & predictable process, to improve client service. The team is focused on automation, digitalization and process optimization, in a dynamic business environment. Your daily job will consist of processing and analyzing corporate actions, like dividends, mergers and stock splits for our clients. As an intern in Operations you will mainly have an internal focus and are responsible to run and improve the day to day business and its processes. You will learn all about the end-to-end flows in Clearing and get knowledge on the activities within Operations and become interchangeable between the different flows in Operations.       

Your working environment

Your profile

• Currently enrolled at a Dutch education institution for a Bachelor or Master degree, preferably Economics or Finance, but not required
• Data analytic skills
• Drive to perform and result oriented
• Flexible and shows backbone
• Problem solver
• Cooperative
 

What we offer

• An internship with a duration of 6-9 months for 36 hours per week
• You will participate in the daily operational tasks
• You will work on an additional assignment beside your daily tasks
