As a chapter lead, you contribute to these goals by focussing on craftmanship within your department. You stay up-to-date on the latest developments and you mentor your team members in becoming technical experts. How are you going to shape craftmanship and innovation within your department?

As a Chapter Lead for the Controlling Tagetik Chapter you contribute to a sustainable bank. You do this by;

  • Focusing on innovating your team/grid
  • Staying up-to-date on the latest developments on the Tagetik system
  • Mentoring your team members to become Tagetik experts

Your job

As Chapter Lead, you will combine working as an IT Engineer, with your role as Lead. About 60% of the time you will work in your own block (scrum team) on refining, analysing, designing, developing/coding, testing, maintaining and realizing good quality and future proof IT solutions. The rest of the time you will manage your team. This includes: 

  • Educating yourself and others with the right technical capabilities and the latest innovations.
  • Mentoring your Chapter members on technical craftsmanship.
  • Actively participating in knowledge gaining and sharing by joining triangles, circles, communities and events. Furthermore, focus on proper knowledge dissemination across the teams, pushing the limits of our technology and focussing on holistic solutions.
  • Proper alignment with stakeholders. For example, informing leadership on the alignment you have with the Solution Engineer on the technological landscape and lifecycle. Furthermore you ensure a current stack and room for innovation on the backlog by discussing this with the Product Owners.
  • Working in a DevOps environment and advocating the Agile and CICD processes.
  • On a strategical level you mentor your team, evaluate technical assessments, do interviews and ensure that new employees are properly onboarded.
  • Create and foster a healthy working environment and a holistic culture for your Chapter.
  • Take care of the HR processes to facilitate all aspects relating to the influx, development, performance and outflux of employees.
  • Take care of block administration (AGF, Fieldglass, etc)
  • Helping to solve impediments

Working environment

The Controlling Grid consists of four agile scrum teams and is in the middle of the migration of several applications to the Azure cloud. The scope of this Chapter concerns the scrum team Terra. The main system in scope is Tagetik (SAAS). 
Together with your team, you will be responsible for making the processes that are part of the Financial Plan, Budget & Forecast as efficient as possible through automation, standardisation and full use of the potential of Tagetik.
We are very ambitious and keep on exploring / implementing new technologies / solutions in order to reduce manual work and speed-up processing and reporting time in good collaboration with our stakeholders. We have embraced an agile way of working where we strive towards a flat organisation with self-organising teams which have the autonomy to make quick decisions and are end-to-end responsible. The atmosphere within the team and the department is open and informal. You will work in a diverse team with many different cultural backgrounds and a good work-life balance.

Do you think you‘re a fit? Check your profile:

  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with the Tagetik system
  • Hands on experience in Unit & Integration testing and test automation in a SAAS and Datawarehouse / reporting environment. 
  • You have hands-on experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).
  • You can back-up your claim of Azure knowledge through several certifications like AZ-900 and others.
  • You are comfortable with coaching and mentoring your less experienced team members in their design and development activities and have good people skills.
  • You are a people manager who likes to coach his team members who have a different background
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Understand and act upon the Scrum Values (openness, courage, commitment, respect and focus).
  • Experience in working DevOps.
  • You have preferably worked in the financial sector.
