You love to work on complex changes, reliability and Incident & Problem management? You build it. You own it. You run it. You fix it. If that’s you, then we are looking for you as Chapter Lead, in making ABN AMRO a personal bank in a digital age in our Credits GRID.

As a Chapter Lead, you contribute to this pillars by having the responsibility of the reliability of our IT landscape. You are the go to expert for our Cloud Lending Services application and platform (ACBS) and coaching your team is what motivates you.

You stay up-to-date on the latest developments and you mentor your team members in becoming high quality engineers as well. You are also going to enhance the IT craftmanship of your Chapter members. Your job

As Chapter Lead, you will combine working as an IT Engineer, with your role as Lead. About 60% of the time you will work in your own block (scrum team) on refining, analysing, designing, developing/coding, testing, maintaining and realizing good quality and future proof IT solutions. The rest of the time you will manage your team. This includes:

  • Educating yourself and others with the right technical capabilities and the latest innovations.
  • Mentoring your Chapter members (a chapter normally has 8-10 members) on their ACBS craftsmanship.
  • Actively participating in knowledge gaining and sharing by joining triangles, circles, communities and events. Furthermore, focus on proper knowledge distribution across the teams, pushing the limits of our technology and focussing on holistic solutions.
  • Proper alignment with stakeholders. For example, informing leadership on the alignment you have with the Solution Engineer on the technological landscape and lifecycle. Furthermore you ensure a current stack and room for innovation on the backlog by discussing this with the Product Owners.
  • Working in a DevOps environment and advocating the Agile and CICD processes.
  • Be a role model and show that every team member including yourself participates in all DevOps tasks, which also means a mailbox shift or even a standby period.
  • On a strategical level you mentor your team, evaluate technical assessments, do interviews and ensure that new employees are properly onboarded.
  • Create and foster a healthy working environment and a holistic culture for your Chapter.
  • Take care of the HR processes to facilitate all aspects relating to the influx, development, performance and outflux of employees.

Working environment

The chapter ACBS is part of the IT Credits Cluster. The department is responsible for the development and delivery of credit products. Solutions are being processed straight through via several (digital) channels.

Must have

  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with the ACBS system (or similar SaaS solutions plus Credit process knowledge)
  • You are comfortable with coaching and mentoring your less experienced team members in their design and development activities and have good people skills.
  • Experience with process optimization and improvement

Good to have

  • You like to work with people and are able to transfer your energy and inspire them
  • You are a great communicator that is able to train / coach our employees (understand and act upon the Scrum Values(openness, courage, commitment, respect and focus)
  • You have hands-on experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).
  • You can back-up your claim of Azure knowledge through several certifications like AZ-900 and others.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Understand and act upon the Scrum Values (openness, courage, commitment, respect and focus).
  • Experience in working DevOps.
  • Experience with automating manual processes
  • ITIL 4 certified
