Senior Mendix Developer

At a glance

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mendix Developer within Detecting Financial Crime (DFC) grid of the bank. We are working with Mendix Low code tool building apps to support the work of DFC analysts. 

Your job

You will start within one of the IT parts of DFC, namely the Enabling Tooling team(s), as a Mendix developer. The team(s) enables the whole DFC organization with workflow tools, on which analysts and crime fighters love to do their part of the job. As a Senior Mendix Developer you have a clear vision on the latest technologies within Mendix, know about the Microsoft Azure environment and have a clear view how ABN AMRO is organised to create the best support for our colleagues. 

Your responsibilities 
•    Develop & Deliver Mendix applications 
•    Closely collaborate with architects for creating solution designs 
•    You show ownership in building, running and improving Mendix applications 
•    Working and experimenting with Azure tools and technologies
•    Working with Azure CI/CD pipeline 
•    Closely cooperate with the business developers of the team, the Mendix Platform team and our stakeholders 
•    You will be part of a DevOps team working scrum-agile way

Your profile

Within your role you will contribute in building, fixing and owning the applications from start till end. You show ownership and pro-activeness, have an eye for detail, bring quality to the application, understand the architecture principles, able to present and implement the Mendix best practices. You will be working with multiple stakeholders and ensuring the operations & delivery excellence for the work you do. 

Your qualifications

•    Total IT experience at least 8 years
•    Mendix Development (4yr+)
•    Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and SQL DB 
•    API development and integrations
•    Azure Cloud & CICD pipelines 
•    Knowledge of Azure DevOps 
•    Knowledge of Architecture Principles 
•    Experience and/or knowledge of application build (automation), testing (automation) and security: e.g. Maven, Jenkins , Docker, Selenium and J meter is a plus 
•    Agile and DevOps way of working
•    Excellent in analytical thinking

•    Mendix certification is required; Mx Rapid, Intermediate and Advanced Developer
•    Microsoft Azure certifications will be a plus

We are offering

  • The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
  • The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
  • Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
  • Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
