Cluster Lead - Credit Transformation Office

At a glance

The Credit Transformation Office, formerly named as the Future Credit Domain (FCD) Office, oversees change initiatives that are responsible for building a future-proof and robust credit landscape. FCD change initiatives are important for ABN AMRO's license-to-operate. This means that regulations and risk requirements are firmly anchored in Credit Transformation Office’s value chain and control framework. Furthermore, we are working on integrated IT systems that enable us to do our work efficiently, to deliver accurate and timely reports and to meet (future) customer needs. Credit Transformation Office hierarchically reports to the Head of Lending Transformation, which reports to the Head of Financing Solutions (FS). As a Cluster Lead within the Credit Transformation Office you help realise the delivery of the ABN AMRO and Financing Solutions strategy: a Personal Bank in a Digital Age. The Credit Transformation Office monitors and reports on FCD and other FS change initiatives and applies deep content knowledge and change management expertise in managing underlying programs and change in scope of FS.

Your job

  • The delivery of the specific regulatory use case to which a cluster is attached (i.e. DoD target state, EBA LOM compliancy via structural solutions)
  • Clusters of change initiatives for prioritization, in alignment with Credit Chain and CCOC
  • The cluster structure is flexible and can be modified based on priorities and new activities. The first cluster use cases will focus on EBA LOM, DoD and Collateral, with additional clusters to be added over time
  • Applying deep content knowledge and change management expertise in managing the underlying programmes in scope of FCD
  • Ensuring regulatory value of program deliveries via managing individual programmes as clusters around specific regulatory use-cases
  • Ensuring that the requests from initiatives towards the Finance and Risk GRIDs are appropriately communicated/managed to strengthen the initiative planning
  • Ensuring high standard of quality assurance on roadmaps

Your profile

  • You have in depth knowledge of your area of attention, as well substantive of portfolio management as of the business line you are working within
  • You are responsible for the optimisation of processes and procedures within your area of attention in line with external legislation and rules and in line with internal policies
  • You put clients’ interests first and take into account (possible) risks for the bank
  • You point the way for the further development of the area of expertise and secure commitment to this at a strategic level

Qualifications and attributes


  • Academic education level
  • Understanding of credit risk and regulation
  • A least ten years relevant lending experience
  • At least five years managerial experience


In-depth knowledge of a broad range of lending products

  • General knowledge of other banking products and services (being able to make the connection with your cluster)
  • In-depth experience with change management
  • Knowledge of macro-economic and external market developments (current and upcoming) and their impact on the credit risk managed within the department
  • Deep knowledge of the customer journeys and process optimization
  • Skilled in stakeholder management
  • Inspires and enables others around the Why and What of the ABN AMRO purpose and strategy and its translation for the Corporate Bank, Financing Solutions, Lending Transformation and the Future Credit Domain
  • Proven leadership skills: leads change, by communicating explicitly what must change, why changes are necessary, and what desired outcomes will be
  • Being mindful and adjust communication style to different audiences
  • Deals with ambiguity by effectively setting priorities, balancing the short and the long term
  • Continuously strives for innovation in client value propositions and proactively responds to changes within and outside the company. With a vision of the industry in mind
