Tikkie is more than just an application; it's part of Dutch culture and the leading free finance app in the Netherlands. We began as a start-up initiative by ABN AMRO and have since transformed the payment landscape in the country with our easy, fast, and fun payment functionality.

Your job

As an Android Developer at Tikkie, you will be a member of one of our dynamic SCRUM teams. You will actively participate in daily scrum meetings where you'll discuss the team's progress towards achieving the sprint goal. Our sprints are conducted in 2-week cycles, providing a structured framework for development. Throughout these sprints, you will engage in various scrum events such as planning sessions, retrospectives, and demos to ensure alignment and foster continuous improvement. 

Your core responsibilities will include working on user stories, which are essential building blocks for enhancing our application. These user stories provide context and clarity, guiding you in the development of features that meet our users' needs and expectations. With each sprint, you'll contribute to the build-up of our app, enhancing its functionality, performance, and user experience. 

Collaboration is key in our work environment. You'll work closely with your team members, sharing ideas, and knowledge to develop exciting new features. This collaborative approach not only enriches the development process but also ensures a seamless and superior user experience within our app. You'll have the opportunity to leverage your expertise and creativity to shape the Tikkie app, making a tangible impact on our users' experience. 

Your profile

For this position we value strong and clear communication. You like to actively participate, share and gain knowledge during team meetings and know your way around feedback, giving and receiving. Got excited, think you fit our culture just fine, and ready to go on this Tikkie Journey? • You love Android and have demonstrable experience with Kotlin and the latest Jetpack APIs. 
• You have some experience with Jetpack Compose and have a drive to learn more and migrate XML to Compose.  
• You want your code to be secure, reliable and testable, you know a real masterpiece will live through the ages.  
• You like to have things automated in your workflow: fastlane is your friend and CI/CD is your passion  
• You are passionate about great UI and UX and believe that the designer is the best friend of any frontend developer  

We are offering

• Het bovenaan de pagina weergegeven bruto maandsalaris is op basis van een 36-urige werkweek, inclusief vakantiegeld en benefit budget.
• Het benefit budget bedraagt 11% van je salaris. Als je in een maand geen aankopen of reserveringen doet in de Benefit Shop, krijg je over die maand een twaalfde deel van je benefit budget uitbetaald.
• Vijf weken vakantie per jaar. Je hebt de mogelijkheid om vier weken per jaar bij te kopen.
• Persoonlijk Ontwikkelbudget van € 1.000,- per jaar. Dit bedrag kun je opsparen tot € 3.000,-.
