The entire ABN AMRO organization (worldwide) is dependent on the daily availability of the IT systems developed and managed by Private Infrastructure Platforms (PIP). PIP takes care of the daily operation and the realization of tactical and strategic changes within its scope so that it continuously meet the expectations of the consumers of Infrastructure. 

The Private Cloud Services (PCS) department within PIP comprises the largest IT environment within ABN AMRO. It includes all parts within the Open Systems context that are required to fully serve consumers. 

Every day 1000's of IT people, bank employees and customers depend on not only the availability of these solutions, but also the necessary developments within this IT field. The dynamics within this area are therefore great, fun and challenging.

We are looking for a engineer for IDM (RedHat Identity Management for Linux) for PCS Enablement department. The focus of this department is on enabling and supporting our internal customers and deliver overarching core components like IDM that are integrated with other services.

Your job

As an IDM engineer you will be working with a focused team on implementing, maintaining and improving the IDM instances of the ABN AMRO. You will be involved with the installation of IDM for a new private cloud platform, migration of older instances to the target state, as well as improving the overall service. You work together with a team of experts and collaborate with other teams that are experts in e.g. security, operating systems, but also end-users. 

Working environment

The job is situated in the ABN AMRO IT organisation. We are an agile DevOps team. The team consists of 5 IT Engineers and a Product Owner. We develop new services and solutions to enable our business. ABN AMRO has adopted a hybrid way of working. The team works mostly from home and communicates virtually throughout the day but the idea is to work together at the office more frequently. The office is based in Amstelveen.

Your profile

  • Experience with installing and maintain RedHat Identity Manager
  • Extensive knowledge on RedHat Linux
  • Extensive knowledge on Identity management and security aspects
  • A team player who is not afraid to engage in discussions
  • Excited about new technologies and willingness to experiment
  • Experience with automated testing is a big plus
  • CI/CD Tooling (Azure Pipelines, YAML etc) 
  • Familiar with Agile concept and Scrum 
  • Problem solving skills 
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and writing) in English  
  • It is an asset if you have worked before in a DevOps team 

We are offering

  • The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
  • The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
  • Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
  • Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
  • Possibility to work from home (in consultation with your team and depending on your position).
