Your work

Operating within the "Non-Financial Risk" domain, our Control & Reporting team is crucial in reinforcing our compliance and operational integrity. Their work ensures that ABN AMRO Financing Solutions operates within risk appetite, essential for maintaining our role in the financial services sector.

In our Control & Reporting team, we take a proactive role in advising and monitoring operational risks from the front line. We deliver high-quality services to both internal and external stakeholders and continuously adapt in an ever-changing environment that is becoming increasingly complex and demanding. Our team ensures clarity and establishes an appropriate Risk & Control framework.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Analysing, challenging, advising, and reporting on various Risk Types and on actions to be taken, plans of approach, and timelines.
  • Performing control checks and monitoring (MC&T) controls.
  • Initiating, together with other colleagues, activities related to Risk Awareness and advising management so they can take measures to mitigate risks.

You continuously seek the right balance between the interests of the customer, the bank, and the applicable laws and regulations when assessing, implementing, and optimizing policies and your tasks. This ensures continuity and sustainability. You follow relevant developments both internally and externally within your field.

  • You possess knowledge of the Risk & Control Framework and relevant regulations.
  • You have knowledge of and/or affinity with the fields of Credit Risk, Operational Risk Management, Compliance, Legal & Sustainability.
  • You actively follow relevant developments both internally and externally within your field. You can translate these developments into expert advice, clearly outlining the implications for our products, services, processes, and employees.
  • You are analytically strong, recognize important data, connect different forms of information, and seek the best solution that addresses the root cause rather than just the symptoms.
  • You can articulate and present your message clearly.
  • You are focused on collaboration, continuous improvement, and you are pragmatic and results-oriented.
  • You have strong communication skills and are fluent in the Dutch and English language.
  • You operate at an academic working and thinking level with more than 3 years of relevant work experience.

Here are some of the benefits you can expect:

  • The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
  • The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
  • Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
  • Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
  • Possibility to work from home (in consultation with your team and depending on your position).
  • An annual public transport pass with free public transportation throughout the Netherlands.
  • An excellent pension scheme.
