The Transaction Banking Hub (TBH) aims to deliver high quality products and services in a number of European countries through an integrated infrastructure. In order to achieve this, the (Associate) Director Transaction Banking Product is overall responsible for the maintenance, innovation and regulatory compliance of all Transaction Banking (Cash and Liquidity Management & Trade Finance) products and services offered in the country. To ensure we win deals with our most valued clients when value, solution, relationship and trust are the determining factors.

Your job

Commercial:

  • Contribute to TBH Germany team sales opportunities by providing advice on complex tailored products/services to clients (product: Trade & Guarantees)
  • Collects and analyses data regarding strategy, market developments and financial performance of TBH products
  • Main focus is on customers linked to the local Corporate client units in Germany

 

Product Management:

  • Manages the processing and maintenance of the products and services, keeping in mind the interest of the client, rules and regulations, the strategy of the International Network and the objectives of ABN AMRO in Germany towards cost and income
  • Responsible for development of new TB (Transaction Banking) products and supporting processes within the department. Conduct feasibility studies and make recommendations for the operational & administrative improvement of the commercial solutions offered
  • Co-ordinates dealing with internal & external product and service providers; acts as the main point of contact for solution implementation and on-going maintenance.

 

Strategic

  • The world of Transaction Banking is going through many changes; from technology to regulatory. Transaction Banking at ABN AMRO translate these developments in new products and solutions which do fit the requirements of our Corporate Banking clients. Through sustainable investment in “getting to know the client”, constant product innovation, 3rd party partnerships and maintaining the cost base at an acceptable level
  • The complexity of the role has mainly to do with realising a commercial effectiveness, consideration for changing market conditions (e.g. regulations by central banks and local regulators) and operating under time pressure and increased competition.
  • Communication is key, being able to say “no” in case the risk profile of a product does not fit the needs of the client and treating customers fairly. Transaction Banking is part of a global playing field hence cooperation and stakeholder management are is of utmost importance

Your profile

  • A good academic record. Educated to University Level standard and background in Business & Finance
  • Excellent communicator with senior stakeholders (English & German)
  • Solid banking (product & services) and credit knowledge; Knowledge of the Transaction Banking environment is a must
  • Excellent track record with client facing roles with focus on building relationships
  • An international outlook/experience
  • Applicable certifications
