Then ABN AMRO’s Data Management Engineering team is looking for you to be their next intern!

Your job

In the Data Management Engineering internship, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies such as JavaScript, Node.js, Typescript, Vue, Python, and Azure Cloud. You will also gain experience in Scrum and DevOps methodologies by working side-by-side with skilled engineers on real use-cases. You will assist the team in developing and maintaining the Data Marketplace platform.

As a Data Management Engineering intern, your responsibilities will be:

• Assisting the team in developing and maintaining the Data Marketplace platform
• Participating in code reviews and testing
• Learning and improving your skills in various technologies
• Learning how to identify and fix bugs
• Carrying out projects that involve implementing new features

The Data Management Engineering domain is one of several data domains under the Central Data Office (CDO). We are responsible for creating and maintaining all data management applications, and enable data democratization and governance for the whole bank. You will work in a DevOps team with 5-8 members that focuses on enabling full collaboration in order to deliver future-proof applications using the latest technologies.

Your profile

We are looking for skilled and high-performing interns, who will help us shape the future of ABN AMRO.

• You are enrolled in a Dutch university (HBO or WO) and are pursuing a BSc or MSc degree either in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related fields
• You have basic knowledge of programming concepts and languages such as JavaScript or Python
• You have an affinity for data and coding
• You have excellent written and spoken English
• You have strong problem-solving and communication skills
• You have the ability to work independently and in a team environment
• You have an analytical and entrepreneurial mind
• You are able to begin in January 2025

You are available for 32-36 hours per week for 5-6 months and are able to come to the office in Amsterdam Zuid at least once a week.
