Your job

As a Data Engineering Intern, you will immerse yourself in the manipulation and movement of data using PySpark. You will work alongside our data engineering team to enhance our data infrastructure. In your role, you will:

• Gain proficiency in using PySpark for data manipulation and processing.
• Develop and implement data transformation workflows to optimize existing datasets.
• Ensure accurate and efficient data transfer between specified locations.
• Collaborate with the data engineering team to identify and resolve data-related issues.
• Understand the team and Agile methodology.
• Gain knowledge of team work and project.
• Create documentation for processes.
• Contribute to sprints based on User stories.

Your working environment

Our team is diverse, consisting of members from different ages, countries, and backgrounds. We focus on meaningful work, such as combating money laundering and terrorist financing. The primary language of instruction is English. You will be located at our office in Foppingadreef 221, 102 BS Amsterdam, and are required to come in at least twice a week.

Your profile

Passion for data engineering and the ability to work with PySpark is essential. During the internship you should be a master's student or in the final year of your bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Fluency in English is required, and you should be available for at least four months. This internship has a flexible starting date.

• Strong affinity with data engineering and PySpark.
• Fluency in English.

• Ability to come to the office in Amsterdam at least twice a week.
