Your job

We’re seeking for a highly motivated professional with a strong sense of ownership and a proven track record in network security. You will be part of the team that provides network security solutions and advise to the entire organization. What are your main tasks and responsibilities?
In this role, you work together with your team and other CISO and platform teams to ensure that network security standards are embedded in the entire ABN AMRO IT landscape.

Your main responsibilities:

•    Be on the front run of Anti DDoS, WAF and API security capabilities for the bank
•    Responsible for configuration, tuning, operationalizing the web protection capabilities of the bank
•    Develop and review network security architectures and designs
•    Provide consultancy on various network security related topics
•    Provide operational support for firewall changes approvals
•    Collaborate with various platform and application engineering teams, share knowledge and provide network security guidance and advice
•    Together with the team and product owner plan and refine the team’s product increments.

Working environment

You will work for the CISO department. The CISO department believes it is essential to connect the interests of our clients, society and the bank. CISO employs approximately 500 colleagues who are responsible for the bank's information security worldwide.
In short, you will be working in a dynamic and international environment that is constantly evolving and looking for innovative information security solutions for the bank, the customers and society. When working from home is no longer the standard, we are working in an office in Amstelveen, close to Amsterdam. Within the team and organization we mainly speak English. 
There are approximately 150 colleagues working in the Cyber Defence (CD) department within CISO. The CD department is organised in 7 different sub departments. 

Your profile

You must have:

•    Good understanding and proven experience of network security technology in areas such as Anti DDoS technologies, WAF implementation, API security and development 
•    Good understanding and proven experience of network infrastructure in large organization,
•    Hands-on experience managing and implementing Anti DDoS, WAF, API security and DNSSec measures
•    Hands-on experience with NGFWs
•    Hands-on experience with complex on-prem and cloud infrastructure
•    Scripting skills (python/powershell/bash/..)
•    Familiarity with industry best practices, standards, requirements and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27000 series, CIS controls etc)
•    Knowledge and experience in microsegmentation projects
•    Good understanding and proven experience of cloud solutions and cloud network security, requirements and solutions, with focus on hybrid cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure, VMware
•    Basic understanding of managing internet domain names and DNS including the security implementations like CAA, SPF/DKIM/DMARC and DNSSec.

Additionally, we’d prefer if you have:

•    Good communications skills, ability to reach an agreement on requirements and solutions in communications with stakeholders at different levels of the organisation
•    Information security professional qualifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, Microsoft AZ-305, Microsoft SC-100
•    Experience working in complex (e.g., regulated and/or enterprise) environments
•    Experience with complicated audit related issues 
•    Knowledge of and hands-on experience using and analysing large data using Power BI
•    Desire for continuous improvement, always curious
•    Cyber defender mindset
