The Detecting Financial Crime (DFC) – Client Monitoring team contributes to the development of smart solutions to detect financial crime, including money laundering, terrorist financing, bribery and corruption and human trafficking. Criminals never rest, so we need to continuously adapt and innovate to find and stop them to it. Our work is in the full limelight, from the senior management of the Bank, to national and supranational regulators such as DNB & ECB, to society at large. This illustrates the important role that we play as gatekeepers of the financial system.  

Your job

As Senior Business Developer, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing client monitoring solutions for our business client portfolio. You will formulate strategic solutions, set priorities, and collaborate with the chain partners to ensure that we deliver innovative and effective solutions to detect and prevent financial crime. Your structured approach, communication abilities and diligence will be key in aligning efforts across departments and fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. 

Your responsibilities include: 

• Act as subject matter expert for client monitoring and offer hands-on advice and delivery expertise;
• Foster collaboration between cross-functional teams, including IT, Business, data analytics and Compliance;
• Empower colleagues from the cross-functional teams to innovate, improve processes and stay ahead to emerging risks;
• Communicate clearly on solution designs, roles and responsibilities in the delivery of the solutions;
• Monitor delivery timelines and propose resolutions to potential impediments and delays.

Your profile

• At least 3 years of experience in delivering solutions for countering financial economic crime;
• Track record of delivering high-value solutions in a timely manner;
• Experience with automation and enablement of IT solutions, understanding the unique risks and operational dynamics at play when delivery spans IT, business and risk fields;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others;
• Analytical expertise and a solution-oriented mindset, capable of translating complex challenges into actionable strategies;
• You are based in The Netherlands.
