The Product Unit Transaction Banking consists of Transaction Banking Sales, Management & Control, and the grids Core Transactions, Transaction Services, Daily Banking. Four subsidiaries are also part of the Product Unit Transaction Banking.

Transaction Banking (TB) Sales offers expert product and market knowledge in the field of cash management, liquidity management and trade finance, in order to ensure sustainable customer relations. TB Sales is organized in four Sales teams.

Your job

Transaction Banking Sales nurtures customer intimacy with Corporate, Business Banking and Wealth Management clients with the objective to create and retain sustainable customer relationships and bank revenues. The pool team is responsible for providing cash & liquidity management advice to customers who cannot be addressed in the digital and call assisted layers of the new operating model. The advice of team members is aimed at delivering solutions that fit the needs of our customers, including risk management, and creation of cross/deep-buy. 

As Manager of the TB Sales Pool Team, you will be responsible for the following: 

-Contribute to the objectives and key results that Transaction Banking Sales wants to achieve, in alignment with the objectives of TB and the Client Units
-Lead the TB Sales Pool Team, consisting of around 15 Financial Solution Specialists and Commercial Officers
-Improve the profitability of the portfolio by keeping track of and improving the margin development
-Represent the bank in client- and industry events
-Have frequent client interaction, being involved with clients where your seniority matters
-Ensure the sales team is enabled to achieve a high performance
-You will closely collaborate with the relevant client segments and grids, being able to balance the demand to your team and stimulate the wider customer relationships
-Contribute to execution of the One Bank strategy and making the New Service Model work for this domain
-Together with MT Transaction Banking Sales you will work on further optimizing the (digital) way of working in order to generate more customer value
-Meaningful, sustainable and standardised products within a rationalised Target Product Offering
-Efficient, harmonized and digitized products and product-related processes.
- Sustainable duty of care, regulatory compliance and a strong focus on risk management

As Manager of the TB Sales Tailored Team you need to shape the Sales teams to ensure we can deliver on the bank’s strategy to be a Personal bank in a digital age in the field of TB. Your challenge will be to continue to grow the business while transforming the service model with increased digitisation and standardisation while at the same time making sure we can distinct ourselves in the market because of our expertise and integrated solutions towards our clients.

Working environment

Customers of the team are in the Netherlands as well as abroad. The team works hybrid, with office locations in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Eindhoven and Zwolle. Dutch is the main language of the team, good communication skills in the English language are required. 

Your profile

General:
-Academic education or comparable work experience
-At least ten years’ work experience, preferable client facing within the corporate segment
-At least five years’ managerial experience 
-Experience working in a matrix environment 
-Client centric

Specific:
-Knowledge of transaction banking products, and working capital and supply chain structures
-Proven ability to lead teams in a changing environment with focus on optimizing work procedures to realize further efficiency
-Proven leadership skills 
-Proven networking and stakeholder management capabilities and intercultural awareness 
-Proven ability to lead sales professionals to excel their performance.
