Your job

As a Senior Data Warehouse Engineer, you will start within one of the IT parts of DFC, namely the CAAP Business Analytics team. (CAAP BA team). CAAP stands for CDD (Customer Due Diligence)  Advanced Analytics Platform. The CAAP Platform runs on Microsoft Azure Cloud and offers DFC employees and applications all the necessary data in combination with highly advanced (data) analytic solutions. The CAAP Business Analytics team is developing a data warehouse that is serving data to Power BI models.

Your responsibilities

• Designing data model transformations according to different stakeholder requirements. Ability to quickly learn the banking domain model concepts and business rules.
• Refactoring existing sql code in different solutions into a single version of the truth.
• Developing and maintaining data model transformations using Azure Databricks pyspark / pysql
• Ability to thoroughly analyse and test data and report findings in order to validate transformations.
• Interviewing stakeholders and documenting design decisions.
• Improving metadata driven data loading and transformation processes.
• Monitoring and ensuring stability of the environment.
• Developing Business Analytics capabilities using data Lakehouse Synapse Serverless, Data Explorer and Fabric.
• Maintaining and improving the CICD pipelines and DevOps way of working .
• Applying Kimball, Data Vault or 3NF modelling techniques.
• Design and develop PowerBI models and reports.
• Ensuring right people get access to the sensitive data in reports through proper security and access management.
• Cost optimization on azure and data usage.
• Proactive train and coach less senior colleagues in and outside the team on data modelling and data engineering.

Your profile

• Highly skilled in Azure data engineering, specifically Databricks pyspark, pysql and pyton.
• Highly skilled in Azure architecture ( e.g. storage accounts, key vaults, resource groups, networking, etc).
• Highly skilled in information modelling / designing based on stakeholder requirements
• Highly skilled in SQL.
• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Data Lake, Data explorer, Fabric, Synapse Serverless.
• Experience with large data platforms and parallel processing technologies.
• Experience with data preparation and data modelling,  Certification DP-203 (Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure) is a pre.
• Experience in se ting up CICD pipelines using biceps/ARM or PowerShell is a pro.
• Understand Kimball, 3NF modelling techniques.
• Experience with requirement analysis, prototyping and designing.
• Creative and problem-solving mind to design effective data models.
• Good interpersonal communication: presenting solutions, coaching and training of team members.
• Experience with working in an Agile environment NL based.
• Knowledge and experience with reliability engineering is a pre

We are offering

• The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
• The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
• Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
